Workshop Description

The Revenge Porn Helpline is the UK’s only dedicated support service for victims of intimate image abuse; supporting adults (18+) who have had intimate images shared, threatened to be shared, or taken without consent. The Helpline provides practical support, advice, and assistance with removing non-consensually shared intimate content online. The Helpline also operates a global tool, StopNCII.org, which supports adults worldwide to hash and protect their intimate images from being shared. This session will cover an overview of intimate image abuse, including the different forms of IIA, connections between other forms of abuse and relevant legislation criminalising IIA, an overview of the Revenge Porn Helpline service and StopNCII.org tool, and end with a Q&A. The trainer for the session is Kate Worthington, a senior Helpline practitioner with over 5 years of experience supporting adults affected by intimate image abuse.
